Yangtze University in Jingzhou, Hubei province, is one of the most affordable MBBS options for Pakistani students in our database. Students searching for the "Yangtze University MBBS fee structure" often find old or incomplete numbers. Fees can change for each new intake. Treat these figures as the most recent official sheet we hold, and confirm the current fee with the university at english.yangtzeu.edu.cn before you pay anything.

Life in Jingzhou for Pakistani students

Jingzhou is a historic city in Hubei with a low cost of living. Our records note around 1,100 international students from 47 countries, four Pakistani restaurants on or near campus and separate boys' and girls' hostels.

How to apply

  1. Confirm PMDC recognition on the official PMDC website.
  2. Check the current fee sheet and deadline with the university (our records list 15 July).
  3. Send your passport, FSc/A-level results and other documents.
  4. Pay the application fee as instructed by the university.
  5. Receive the admission notice and JW202, then apply for an X1 visa.

How to budget for six years

Using the official sheet, a simple plan is: the first-year total of RMB 31,250, then RMB 23,700 for each following year that the university charges. Ask the university in writing whether the full yearly charges also apply during the internship year, because arrangements for the final year can differ. Add your own costs for food, transport, books, mobile data, flights and HSK exam fees.

Our university record estimates living costs in Jingzhou at roughly USD 150–250 per month. Students who cook in shared kitchens and use campus canteens usually stay at the lower end; frequent travel or eating out raises it.

How Yangtze compares with Wuhan universities

Yangtze University is in Hubei province, like Wuhan's medical universities. In our records, yearly tuition is about USD 3,400 at Wuhan University, about USD 3,600 at Huazhong University of Science and Technology and about USD 2,480 at Wuhan University of Science and Technology, compared with about USD 1,655–2,760 at Yangtze. Wuhan offers a bigger city and higher-ranked universities; Jingzhou offers lower costs. Our MBBS in Wuhan page compares the Wuhan options side by side.

Questions to ask the university before paying

  1. Is this fee sheet valid for my intake year?
  2. Which charges are one-time and which are yearly?
  3. Are fees charged during the internship year?
  4. What does the hostel fee include, and are rooms shared?
  5. Is a scholarship available after the first year, and on what basis?
  6. What is the refund policy if my visa is refused?

Get the answers by email from the official international office and keep them with your admission documents.

Finally, keep every receipt the university gives you. Fee receipts, the admission notice and the JW202 form are often requested again later — for the residence permit, for a hostel change or when you apply to PMDC after graduation. A simple folder, both on paper and as phone scans, saves a lot of stress.
