Do I need IELTS to study in China?+
Many universities accept admission without IELTS, especially for English-medium MBBS and Engineering programs. We help you shortlist these.
When should I apply for CSC Scholarship?+
CSC opens between December and April every year. Earlier applications get stronger consideration.
How much does it cost to study in China?+
Tuition typically ranges from $3,000 to $5,000/year. Living costs are around $300–$500/month depending on the city.
Can you help with the student visa?+
Yes. We provide end-to-end guidance — JW202, embassy appointment, documents and pre-departure support.
Is HSK required to study in China?+
Only for Chinese-medium programs. Most English-medium MBBS, Engineering and Business degrees don't require HSK at entry — though HSK 3–4 is recommended for daily life.
Can I apply with HSK 3?+
Yes. HSK 3 is enough for many Chinese-medium undergraduate programs and almost all English-medium tracks. Use the HSK filter on the Universities page to see matches.
Is IELTS compulsory for Chinese universities?+
No. A large share of universities accept MOI (Medium of Instruction) letters or run online interviews instead. Top-tier C9 universities are stricter and may still ask for IELTS 6.0–6.5.
Which universities accept English-medium programs?+
Most major Chinese universities — including Zhejiang, Peking, Wuhan, Harbin, Sichuan, Shandong, and Jilin — offer English-medium tracks for MBBS, Engineering, Business and Masters.
Can I study in China without learning Chinese?+
Yes, for English-medium programs. You'll still benefit from basic Chinese (HSK 1–3) for daily life. Most universities offer a free or low-cost 1-year Chinese prep year.
Is HSK easier than IELTS?+
For Pakistani / South Asian students starting from scratch, HSK 3 is comparable in effort to IELTS 5.5. HSK is more structured and predictable, with no speaking section at lower levels.
Which programs require HSK 4?+
Chinese-medium Medicine (TCM), Law, Education, and Literature programs typically require HSK 4. Some scholarships also expect HSK 4+ for Chinese-taught tracks.
Can I learn Chinese after admission?+
Yes — most universities offer a 1-year Chinese language foundation year before your degree starts. CSC and many provincial scholarships fully cover this prep year.
