PMDC-Approved Medical Universities in China 2026

PMDC (now PMC) publishes an annually updated list of foreign medical universities whose MBBS degrees it recognises for the National Licensing Examination (NLE). Studying at a PMDC-approved Chinese medical university is the only safe way to ensure you can register and practise in Pakistan after graduation.

How to verify PMDC approval yourself

1. Visit the official PMDC / PMC website (pmc.gov.pk)
2. Open the latest 'List of Recognised Foreign Medical Universities'
3. Find your target Chinese university by name — names must match exactly
4. Cross-check with the China Ministry of Education list of English-medium MBBS authorised universities
5. Confirm the program is the 6-year English MBBS (not a 5-year Chinese-medium Bachelor of Clinical Medicine)
