- Completed 4-year Bachelor's (16 years of education) from an HEC-recognised institution
- Minimum CGPA 3.0/4.0 — top universities expect 3.4+
- Age under 35 at time of application
- English: IELTS 6.0+ OR MOI letter (most universities)
- For Chinese-taught programs: HSK Level 5
- Two recommendation letters from professors
